Hosts. Scaptotrigona postica (Latreille, 1807).

Distribution. Brazil: São Paulo.

Biology. Feeds on fungi in the nests of Scaptotrigona postica (Latreille, 1807). Loss of the bee brood decreases from 50% to 3% if the mite is present in the nest (Flechtmann and Camargo, 1979).
