Aquatic and Semiaquatic Lepidoptera (Moths) of Michigan

The Aquatic Lepidoptera of Michigan is a project in its infancy: at this time the purpose of this page is a placeholder for the aquatic Lepidoptera within the Aquatic Insects of Michigan web project.

Except for a few common species in the family Pyralidae, our knowledge about the distribution of aquatic Lepidoptera in Michigan is limited. This is no doubt due to the unfamiliarilty samplers have for this group, and the difficulty of accessing species-level keys which require adult material (?).

This is an on-going project in its initial phase: please contact the author at the email address in the bottom frame to communicate information regarding additional verified species' records and locations.
