After four years of work, my "Identification Manual for the Larval Chironomidae (Diptera) of North and South Carolina" is available in PDF form at:

Although written in name for North and South Carolina, the manual covers the midge fauna of the entire southeastern United States and will work for most of the eastern US. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or later in order to correctly view and print these files (Acrobat Reader is a free download from Adobe).

To all users, I stress: READ THE INTRODUCTION!!! It is anticipated that hard (printed) copies will be made available at a later date. I DO NOT HAVE PRINTED COPIES OF THIS MANUAL!
