Megaloptera (Dobsonflies, Alderflies and Fishflies) of Michigan

Introduction

This list provides a recent (2002) update to the Megaloptera and Aquatic Neuroptera of Michigan, and is currently based on literature records and specimens housed in the UMMZ-Insect Division collection. Although not a speciose group in the Great Lakes, populations of species may have locally large populations and through predation on other organisms play an important ecological role at any site.
